bcuz im sorry but she does not deserve to be called #2.

she is adorable .

p.s. i think she will be staying here for a little while 2 .

is it bad that i have picked out 7 of the babies to stay here and there are only 11 babies.

granted they are all only staying until fall. for fall pairs to sell. and maybe 1 or 2 hens to keep .

i have eggs due tomarrow. just candled them.

air cells are dropping. but no internal pips.

is this normal?

one egg i can see for sure is dead. other im not real sure.

i can see 1 pushing at the air cell. but the others i cant really see movement.

the other hen i will candle tonight

I like to see internal pipping the day before hatch day.. but there is no "normal" anymore. LOL.  This week has been crazy.

My air cells are too small, so I'm going to LOWER humidity.. right?

well i have good and bad news.

ICu baby #2 is all better. dried off, up on her feet and moving around. so she was moved to the brooder.

on the other hand babies #1 & 3 died in the night.

and as for flippy, he is fading fast. hoping he passes on his own.

The first BEI popped out a minute ago. It's still got the swollen bellybutton, so it's in the tupperware hospital in the brooder for the night. The one with the ick in the shell is spending the night in a tupperware in the hatcher.

Now for bed. Got to get my four and a half hours in before I drag myself to work.

The egg with the big dark spot hatched out last night or early this morning along with 2 others. one of the hatched eggs looks like it has a little glob of blood in it, I'm assuming it was the one that had the dark spot, but might not have been. The 3 look good with no goo stuck to them.

The one with the dark pip is working now, hopefully he'll hatch by tonight  

im hopinh flippy passes soon, so that he doesnt have to be culled.

but #2 (wow we really need to call her something else lol) looks soo tiny next to everyone ele.

reminds me of a new kid at school, shes walking around kind of shy looking around softly peeping.

shes also ALOT smaller that even the smallest oof the brooder babies.

but im sure she will caatch up fast.

 poor babies...that's better than having to cull them, though.  Hope flippy passes peacefully.
