That's interesting...I wonder if they are the same, or related?  Our Alpines and Toggenbergs originate from Switzerland.

Thanks cocoa. I give up trying to hatch cayugas. At least one baby looks like it will hatch out ok by the morning. Just one though. Then, my one Toulouse should internally pip tomorrow, and the fun begins again with my 3 dewlaps also due to pip on Saturday.
My menagerie includes 5 horses, 3 dogs, 4 cats, 32 geese (dewlap toulouse & african) and 10 ducks (muscovy, ancona, cayuga & silver appleyard).

I gotta go to bed.  Have to get up earlier to get my oil changed so I can drive to Decatur, Tennessee.   I get to meet DG!  Woo Hoo!!

If their ears are upright, then yes they are Alpines.  Nice milking set up she's got there....I hand milked all my does...ugh!

This pic was showing off the new milking system they got.  I'll have to just ask again what they were.  Because I must get one.  Loved that milk.  And looks like my butter is done too.  I'll have to give a report on that tmw.

I just googled pics of your Alpines and British Alpines and they don't look the same. British Alpines are black and white. But they are most likely related. I don't know anything about goats, but I have a friend who used to keep goats so I know a few breed names, that's all.

Have a fun time!! :)

 

I changed the oil in my car this morning. I dropped the oil filter in the engine bay and the oil went everywhere. So don't do that.
