If anyone gets on, please tell me what you do to keep your babies (geese here) from flipping over in their enthusiasim? I have to work 5 hours, and I don't want any to die upside down whille I can't watch them!

No doubt....Saanens are probably one of the heaviest milkers. I sorta thought that when I looked at the picture, but I've also seen Alpines that color. The one on the right is a more common color pattern for the Alpine. Both of those girls look like they can fill a pail!

it's ok QJ lol thats kinda been the way today has went. Kids got here fine late last night. first chicken hatched tonight while we were eatting supper. that kinda turned out cool.. they had all been watching it make progress this afternoon and after supper "poof" baby

ok so i broguht in aall the eggs.
4 from under the red hen in the barn
and 10 from the black hen in the shed.
i have a couple ext pips but nothing big.
and all but 1 was internally pipped.
i decided to give everyone an ext pip.
the ones that had 1 i opened it up a tiny big more.
EVERY BLEEPING egg was shrink wrapped. ![]()
and i dont mean just a little. i mean sheet white papery internal membrane.
so i opten to help the one that wasnt internally pipped last.
he was shrink wrapped 2!!
so i ext pipped him and int pipped him 2.
he literly gasped for air.
im glad i helped him.
i now have a bator full of lively peeping eggs.
