Ok... 1 silkie.  Just 1.  I'll pay top dollar.  ;)

And we might as well abbreviate to SW at this point.. since we use that word so much lately!

Thanks, guys!!  Molasses is a talker and quite content to chill in bator and cheer my toulouse egg on.  Hope toulouse baby hatches by Saturday so Molasses won't have to wait long to have a buddy.

I tell you what... IF (and that is a big IF) I cook any more duck eggs, I will monitor weight loss the same as I do with goose eggs.  I never want to deal with fluid babies again.

My menagerie includes 5 horses, 3 dogs, 4 cats, 33 geese (dewlap toulouse & african) and 11 ducks (muscovy, ancona, cayuga & silver appleyard).

everyone else is out.

2 babies were moved to the brooder.

i will keep an eye on everyone else and as they get their feet under them better they will move next door to the brooder(its sitting ona  chair beside the bator in my room)

I don't know if you guys remember, but I tossed all the duck eggs I had left cooking (saxony and silver apple eggs) except one that looked too strong to toss, thinking it was an apple and I would have a match for my apple duckling I already hatched out.  I just realized yesterday when turning eggs that it is not an apple, but a saxony egg.  th.gif

and the others are not far behind them.

i put one showy in a cup her legs were trying to go out behind her so i thought id nip that one in the bud.

but i think shes strong enough to just push it over lol. so that may not work.

its getting cramped in there fast.

i will bring the brooder up after while  and put any babies that are up on their feet well enough and they can finish drying off in there .

if not the hatching babies will have nooo room.

Another good hatch!  Pass those hatching vibes this way, would ya??  fl.gif

I sure hope you get them soon!  Lord, I'd be pacing and fretting for sure!

I hate when that happens.  I have 5 blue runner ducklings coming Monday because I had a lonely Call duck egg due to hatch by then....didn't want it to be alone.  Well, it quit...go figure!

I think that A Dance with Dragons is out already? Came out last year - we have it at home. It's a good one. I agree that they are doing a great job with the show. But I just HATE Cersei's wig. SO unrealistic.
