Just had to put squeeky (the toulouse goose) in the "misplaced" baby brooder with 2 pheasant, 2 silkies, 1 button quail, and now a goose.  All are being fed gamebird starter, so no issued there.  All hatched in my bator, so no diesease.  hope he likes it, I don't go pick bunch of ancona ducklings from my mom until Sunday.  Then, they are all gonna be brooder buddies.

Poor babies, tough week for the new hatches.  Lost 8 turkeys, 1 silky, 2 button quail, 3 sebastopol and 1 toulouse.

PLEASE HELP!!!!

We have been in town all day and just got back, my Call duck male is throwing his head over backwards and falling over??? They have not been free ranging, but have been locked up in a run, they have only been given chick starter (all I have available). I recently read that that the chick start lacks something that the ducks need more of or something. Could he just be deficiant in something? Please help I do not know what to give him? I do not really have anything for waterfowl to treat him with. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Is there anything I can give him, and what do I need to give the other ducks so they will not get the same thing? THANKS FOR ANY HELP!

Has he always eaten chick starter, or is this something new?  Is it medicated?

ETA:  This is an adult drake, not a duckling, right?

im happy to report that the 2 little slow pokes that were finding their feet were moved with the brooder today =)

so 14 happy healthy munchkins in the little brooder.

and guess what NO LEG PROBLEMS

i am soooo happy.

im going to give them another day or 2 on their own then move them in with the ither monsters.

which by the way the monsters have discovered the bliss of water.

sjhdlgkdjhfgkdhdipfh.

yay for me.

and i cant use a bowl like i want to .

a butter bowl is too tall for them.

but the little bowl i have doesnt last them long!.

so they get a real waterer, and they do nothing but play in it!

oh and the goose brooder is so clean without the ducks.

the water is still clear.

the food dish doesnt have poop in it.

and they eat much much less.

Hey everyone, hope all is well!   I have a baby cayuga that wants to be permanently attached to my chest or shoulder.  He is so spry that he was able to jump out of a 12" tall box to get to me this morning.  Sheesh, it is hard to get my chores/work done with this baby. But it is ok, because I'm in love.

i think this hatch i have  8 girls and 6 boys.

and all my flippin buyers backed out on me.

I HAVE A DUCKLING!!!!!!!    This one is a runner, and I have 3 anconas that are rocking!!

I have 4 new call duckling baby's today 3 hatched yesterday and 1 today under my broody duck. Can't wait for my other 30 something to hatch in my incubator this weekend. These are my first calls so super excited. Not sure what colors they will be have idea's but not sure on call colors. I think they are super cute.

Oh my gosh - that is so funny.  I haven't been to Forks since the whole Twilight thing, but I guess it's changed the town.  My husband was looking for somewhere to stay up there (he fishes around there) and he found a bunch of Twilight themed rentals.  He could have stayed in Jacob's house. 

little crumpet, he is about half the size of everyone else, but is getting around just fine and is very vocal

he was not wanting to cuddle mommy today but was sleeping in my shirt yesterday when i had a bunch of work to do

i will have to take a pic of him in the brooder with the others tonight
