Christine.... I can see a resemblance in conformation with my boy!  Amazing how Easy Jet always threw very type-y big babies.  How tall is he?  Justice is technically a paint that ain't, aka breeding stock paint.  I mostly do primitive backcountry camping/trail riding with him now, but he's also done a lot of clinics, group rides, foxhunting and even two endurance (LD) events. I ride in a treeless enduro saddle, english rigged, with a rope halter.

Thanks...I'm proud of him and yes, he's in my pocket constantly.  He's Quarter/Paint/Pinto/Palomino.  Didn't get enough chrome to be more than breeding stock as well.  He's got some Two-Eyed Jack and some other cow bred stuff behind him.  He's built to do just about anything, though.

He was slow to mature, and I thought he'd be stunted...but I believe he'd tape out at 15hh now.

Ok good. I shouldn't have assumed that, but by the looks of him... whew!  I'm glad you got him and loved on him.

Hey people..

That pip pic doesn't really show what I wanted.  It has basically made a huge hole for itself.

I'll try to upload at a better angle.  This is crazy.

ETA:  There you can see it now.  It's made that huge hole and it's beak is in the middle of it.

Awwww, poor baby. You did a great job with him and I tell ya that goat milk is some amazing stuff. We had a little appy filly not as bad as this, but she was orphaned because some idiot didn't want the baby since it was an accident breeding and he wanted to re breed the mare and had no use for the filly. She drank goat milk from a bucket after a bit of coaxing. Tried the bottle but she wouldn't take it so bucket baby she was. She didn't get skinny like this baby, but it was sad to see her pulled off of her mom so young. She turned out to be a stout brick house of a mare.

Wow, thats a good hole going on there, QJ, it won't be long.

Hi Kevin! highfive.gif

Glad ya'll like the old place.  It isn't a farm house as such, but the cross gable was a very popular farm house design up north at the time it was built.  Around here, small houses were the norm, and this was the beggest place in town for a few years, the builder owned a lumberyard and the livery stable. It has a big barn too.   The railroads brought much grander houses, but I love the big old cross gables, we don't have A/C but it catches every breezy breath of air.  I have a nice view, out on the edge of town.  On the register its listed as the builders show house.  LOL.  Not anymore, but hopefully I can get it back to tidy and a little more airtight!

I'm telling you, if you sit on the front porch, and look accross the yard, and listen to the birds out back, you almost feel like your drifting back to a slower time.
