Yes, QJ.  It is a buff dewlap, as are the other two. big_smile.png

 

Slow but steady progress is being made this morning on the other two.  The veining is gone in the inner membrane and the sticky gummy stuff has them glued inside shell.  So, I'm chipping away at shell and loosening/peeling off the sticky membrane.  Both are looking nice and strong.

My menagerie includes 5 horses, 3 dogs, 4 cats, 32 geese (dewlap toulouse & african) and 10 ducks (muscovy, ancona, cayuga & silver appleyard).

I was just thinking it would be darker for some reason.  It's a cutie.

Never mind, hubby pulled the two labs for me.

Both are FL labs and were reccomended to me by long time breeders. I used the first one previously. So if you can't vent, then wait for feathers and do the test.

Thanks!  Do they have to be real feathers? And not baby fuzz feathers?  I might do Fiona too.. just to be sure.

Yes they have to be real feathers, and can't be cut, they have to be pulled removing the entire feather.

They have good info on their sites for samples and how and when to do it. Can't do it on goslings since they have yet to grow in feathers.

His eyes are swollen.  I say "his" because it looks like a boy.  lol.  Maybe it's the mohawk.

Anyway, he can't open his eyes very well.
