Can someone explain why I'm watching her kid when she took the day off?  Anyone?  And can someone explain why my husband has to come home from work early to watch said baby, so I can take my daughter to her first softball game? That my husband missed because he was watching her kid?  Really?

I'm done with friends.  Friends are only friends until they take advantage of you.  I'm tired of the whole "oh she stays at home, she can watch my kid."

Hey people on here .... Don't ask me to watch your kids!!  I don't want to !!!  I want to watch mine and sometimes I don't even want that!

I would be so incredible peeved. I understand exactly how you feel. Can I ship you a 5 year old and a 9 year old?

Just kidding! hugs.gif

A I got a bonus! A white appleyard duckling. Its so adorable! And huge! Looks like a pekin kinda!

I need to find your pics. I heard a rumor they were on here somewhere. Speaking of silkie ducks, I've got another silkie egg to go in the bator. I had to lay in wait for the girl to lay it, but she's laying more often now.

Is the duckling in a safe place or did it finally integrate with the others? A month old should be pretty good on its own.

"Goose be good stick." Awesome. I threaten to bring out the "stick of shame" when the ducks won't go to bed at night. I've got a Khaki that I'm annoyed with. Two nights in a row, I've left her in the run after 15 minutes of attempted herding. She's made a "nest" in the treat bowl.

One of them has clubbed feet so I made him/her a pair of shoes out of a TV dinner box and he/she is walking much better now.
Thank you for the encouragement and advice, I love BYC!

Guinea bit you again? Sounds tasty to me. Both of my goslings are going through a nipping stage. At least fl.gif it's just a stage.

What are you researching on ebay? Hatching eggs? I have to stay away from ebay. Haven't gotten an ebay shipment yet that was totally intact.

Just sold 6 more Anconas, & 3 Royal Palm Turks today thumbsup.gif

YEAH 3 sebbies have all internally pipped & going very strong!  These are the 3 that I set from Lisa, and I fl.gif  think they all will hatch! These are so strong & rocking and rolling like madmen!

I also have 15 Silver Apples ~ ALL but 2 have internally pipped already.  (out of 17 Shipped)  & I set 6 Bourbon Red turks & pulled all but 3, But 1 turk has already externally pipped.  & the other two are trying to !

Have 4 mystery duck eggs that are in LD today also.  Will need help identifying those!

Putting 10 out of 14 Cayuga eggs in LD that I got from Kim (the same lady I got my Sebbie eggs from & the one Cayuga auction I posted on here that I was GOING to win !)

I CAN'T WAIT !!! I have been wanting Cayugas for soooo long & finally found the 2 sellers that had the quality birds I wanted!

Already presold 10 Cayugas though barnie.gif   (I have 2 more dozen going to LD on the 30th from Boggy Bottom)

I also need to candle my whole Master Bator......

54 of Turkeys

90 Chukars

14 Silver Apples

3 Sebbies from Kim

12 Silver Pheasant

1 dozen mystery duck eggs (got at auction for $2)

So thats all I have for now.

SO I have trouble keeping up with your all hatches !!!

*******~~~~~~ WHATS COOKIN IN YOUR BATORS RIGHT NOW?~~~~~~~~~~*********

I've got mystery eggs from my ducks, a few silkie ducks, swedish, runners, cayugas....

Got 12 runners, a silkie and some more swedish going in tomorrow/Friday.

Hubby's telling me that I need to keep a list of what all the abbreviations mean. I need to get a second calendar to keep right by the bators too. I hate having to run downstairs to double check due dates.

I like my monsters, but I wanted small geese because of my kids. I'm rather attatched to them, and would feel like I'm betraying them if I sold them, but I only want my pair of geese. If these guys get much bigger I'll have to sell them and then have no geese. barnie.gif

Monsters, embdens, same thing. Keep them and eat them if they misbehave. The only embden I've dealt with is one mean sog.

One of my pastel ducklings died. hit.gif Have no idea why, she'd fluffed up and was walking around great so I put her in the brooder. Everyone seemed happy a few hours later, then just now I walked in and she was flipped over dead. Poor little thing.

I'm sorry about your baby. hugs.gif

Grey is staying whether it's a boy or girl, if it's a he I'll find him a girl later. So is blue magpie, if it's a boy I'll keep him and sell my black magpie boy, if it's a girl I'll have a trio. Still not 100% sure about brooder baby but thinking snowy, so hope she's a girl, already have my snowy drake. fl.gif

I keep practicing my vent sexing, but I doubt I'm right. I should hatch some more sex-linked babies so I can practice.

Thanks!  I'm glad I got to spend time with my little ones and big african babies today, as I leave for LA in the morning for 2 days.... will probably go through withdrawals from these guys.

My menagerie includes 5 horses, 3 dogs, 4 cats, 33 geese (dewlap toulouse & african) and 11 ducks (muscovy, ancona, cayuga & silver appleyard).
