Helen: Daria, do you have to look at everything in such a negative light?

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?

Wow...my son's Runners have doubled in size overnight!  guess all those bugs they ate gave them a growth spurt.  They are about to start hitting their heads on the brooder lid!  Time to fix a daytime pen for them outside, and bring them in at night.  I hope to integrate them in with the geese and their lone Runner drake, soon.

Yay! Mine is showing a little improvement. Gave her some water and she had her eyes open and has quite a bit more head control. Just still seems exhausted, but promising.

Pics? I want a pair if runners still. I don't want to brood/hatch anymore ducklings for the moment though, so am keeping my eyes out on craigslist for adults.

So....I think I had a snake in the coop last night, or early morning.  I have a little Seabright/Dutch mixed bantie hen that was setting several misc. eggs of her's.  There is only 3 eggs left in the nest box, and they are spread out...she's out running around.  That spells SNAKE to me because there was no way eggs could have come outta that box.  It's one of those metal multi-hole nest boxes you hang on the wall.  Gonna check in a bit and see if she goes back in, but if she had a snake under her, I doubt she will.  I HATE SNAKES!!!
