Thanks!

I had one that was like that. I reduced the protein in the food and added nutritional yeast (brewer's yeast) to their diet. It took a couple weeks, but the duck's legs righted themselves without further treatment. Sometimes they just go through an awkward stage, but the added niacin helps.

Why don't sheep shrink in the rain?

Why is there brail at drive up ATMs??

Why are their floatation devices instead of parachutes in my airplain seat???

If a tree falls in the woods and my husband doesn't hear it, am I still wrong????

It's been a very nice day here, if a bit chilly. It is neat to see the african babies fully adjusted to life with the adults in the pasture.  While they were at the feeding area this morning, they have spent the rest of the day down by the pond where the adults normally hang out.  All seems peaceful.  Our biggest ducks are also adjusting well to life on the horse property, although they seem to prefer being inside coop instead of out in the yard.

I took my two sets of baby gosling/duckling duos outside together today.  Barley (buff dewlap) was scared to leave my lap at first, but eventually tried to mingle.  Molasses (my super duck) chose to spend most of its time in my lap relaxing.  He 2.5 weeks old now and showing no signs of developing the "humans are murderers" syndrome.  He, like Barley, will probably not be cut out for life on the horse property, but that's fine with me... because we'll just set them up in their own special place in the yard by the house.

Tomorrow we will finally get the side yard set up as a daily turn-out place for our 4 week old toulouse babies.  It's time for them to start enjoying grazing.  It would be nice to eventually move them to the horse property too, but not sure if they would integrate with the ducks or the africans or need their own place? Or if the adult ganders would be interested in more goslings or see them as a negative thing?

Hope everyone else had a nice relaxing Saturday. :)

love.gif hope they stay lovey forever, if my drake doesn't stop being a D-Bag then we are gonna have him for dinner, he keeps being rough with my welshie girls somad.gif
