Why don't sheep shrink in the rain?

Why is there brail at drive up ATMs??

Why are their floatation devices instead of parachutes in my airplain seat???

If a tree falls in the woods and my husband doesn't hear it, am I still wrong????

I've never had it here, that I know of, so I don't even know how to diagnose it let alone cure it?

no problem.  I think that if I were you, id scoot over to the Kansas thread, once of the ladies is a very experienced vet tech.  Its faster than waiting on a thread, and shes a smartie.  It may be somthing else, and since shes keen on poultry disease, I recomend asking there.

You guys make me feel bad now!  I never go there unless somebody PMs me to go answer a question, or they post here for help.  Maybe I should put it on my route.

QJ- Have you tried checking her at night with a flashlight for mites? They can really be hard to see. Has she been wormed at all? Maybe treat everyone with pour on ivermectin, which would kill both worms and mites just in case, except the pullet. I'd just use sevin on her, and wazine. If she is already sick the ivermectin might be too hard. What are all her symptoms and I'll try googling?

Try this link too, although it just confuses me more because there are so many with similar symptoms. http://www.merckvetmanual.com/mvm/index.jsp?cfile=htm/bc/toc_200000.htm

It started 4 days ago I noticed her feathers were poofy.  Like how they do when they're trying to stay warm.  They get all poofed up.  I thought that was weird.  The next morning she was in the corner of the coop and it looked like she had been slept on..  so I tried to get her to move and she wouldn't really.  I put her in solitary and noticed she was limping on one foot.  Thought she had something wrong with it, but couldn't find it.

Later that day she couldn't move with both legs.  Then yesterday it had spread to her body.. not moving her wings.  She had been using them to stabalize herself.  Then last night her head was laying down like she couldn't lift it.  And then her eyelids started to droop.

She also has white poo.

Those were the symptoms of botulism when I googled it.  So I was thinking that would explain why the paralysis was moving up/spreading through her body.

It says it's fast also. 12 to 24 hours.  She is still kicking though.. barely.  I tried to move her and she got really upset.  So I let her be.  I fed her molasses water with bread soaked in it.  She won't eat right now.  Tried to force feed her and she won't open her mouth.

Ugh.

Partial parylysis seems more like marek's, which is a lot more likely/common and she's just at the right age for it too. If she does end up passing I'd have a necropsy done.
