The broody sitting on Call eggs that are due with the batch I'm getting ready to put into LD must have gotten scared during the storms last night, and cracked the 3 eggs she still had.  The lightening and thunder was huge and right on top of us...poor girl.  The eggs are no good, and so close to hatch, too.  th.gif

Son's duckling that started flipping and staggering this morning?  She passed in my hands a little while ago.  She was seizing really bad there at the end, so I just held her still and talked to her.  She'd stop for a couple minutes, talk to me, then start seizing again.  He was crying...had me crying...and I kept telling her she could go.  She finally did, and he was a brave young man to go and pick out a spot to bury her.  When he was done, he put flowers on her grave.  hit.gif  I pointed out to him that he gave her a wonderful afternoon/evening.  He took them all outside for a swim and a walk when he got home from school, and hung out with them reading a book, and babying her.

Oh yeah...when I went to town earlier to get epsom salts for the duckling, there were big highway signs twisted up and blown over....only 5 miles from me!

Ok...think I'm done now.

hugs.gif  I'm sorry and glad that storm stayed the 5 miles away... thats way closefl.gif

I can't stand snakes... I know they have their job in this world BUT it's not where I can see them! hide.gif

Helen: Daria, do you have to look at everything in such a negative light?

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?

He's better now, but worried about the rest of his babies.  It was a learning experience for him, but dang, it sure hurt my heart seeing him hurt.

I know it does but even with a loss like this sounds like he has a great life not all of us grow up so blessed
