I had 90 Chukars ~ tossed 16 ~ & the rest are popping like mad!

Have 50 already paid for!  SO fl.gif  I get at least that many to hatch

I only have 40ish turkey eggs in my bator ! Thats it ~ Can you believe it?  They go into LD in 7 days.  Then I will have a 100% EMPTY bator.  I am going to fumigate it, check the oil, gears, and all.  Do a much needed tune up!!!

Then no hatching til JULY!

Empty? Has it been empty since you got it? lau.gif

I have sizzles hatching tomorrow through to about 3 weeks from now, then my incubator will be unplugged for awhile. Tired of brooding babies, lol.

Just curious - what are you doing with the chukars?  Do you sell them for hunting or what?

I have dog enthusiasts buy them to train their hunting breed dogs, and also use for AKC & such ~ field trials etc.  I also find them very yummy, and easy to keep, they do not need alot of room.  I raised them in my 2 rabbit hutch runs.

I culled 35 about a month ago, and love have a plethora of meat in my freezer.  But getting slim, just have Chukar, Guinea, Beef & Pork now.  Want to add pheasant, rabbit, goose, & duck to the mix! Got broiler/meaties, & turkeys I am growing out.

I think my Midget White Turkey is almost big enough, and will be in the deep freeze before I go on vacation in June. woot.gif

That's what I was wondering.  So do you sell them often?  My bro-in-law might be interested in them to train his German Shorthairs.  He keeps his own ducks for training, but might be interested in the chukars, too.  He lives in the Walla Walla area, though.
