I booted the last set out at 3 weeks (oddly enough it was warmer then though) and they did fine.

I kicked my pekin babies out at three weeks during a warm spell. They're doing well. Goslings went to bed with the ducks tonight. They're going to have to integrate at some point and they've been spending afternoons outside with the ducks for a while.

Oh, I want those so terribly bad. My birthday is next weekend. Hey HUBBY! fl.gif

I move some feathered babies outside, so now when i walk in the garage, I don't want to do this. th.gif

One of my lovely anconas is trying to quack.  I got a laugh today, and ya'll know the newbie quack I'm talking about, part duck call, part old person laugh, part bugle.  I was very proud.

My pekins still aren't talking in their adult voices. They've got this wheezy-honky-awkward sound.

Hubby was outside today talking to the goslings with his goose call. That was darn funny. Maybe that's why they prefer us to the ducks. Because they think we speak their language.

Didn't get a darn thing done today.

Washed all three cars. Got the extra ready to sell.

Put the goslings outside for good.

Cleaned the littles' brooder. Cleaned the biggers' brooder.

A little while ago, early Mothers Day duckling #1 hatched. This was supposed to be lockdown day. Photos will probably be Saturday since tomorrow is my super-long day.

Hello. I got my stupid phone to charge. Not sure for how long though. Updates. I have 3 male Anconas, 2 females. 1 BEI male and 4 girls. Lucy goose is fantastic. She talks to me all the time. I have my 3 silky chickens still, which i will keep. Then there are 2 white cochins, not sure of sex, too many people guessed different things. 1 barred Cochin hen, 2 EE, i am thinking hen and rooster, not sure though. Then there are (6)5week old Polish chicks, (4) week old white mallards, (4) runners and 2 blue Sweden/Peking baby ducks. I only plan on keeping.a Drake and 2 ducks of the anconas and BEI. Not sure on the chickens yet. Runners and Sweden/Peking will be sold as will as Polish chicks.

I just hatched out 6 guineas and 13 runners for the Guy that usually buys all my ducks. Only lost 1 Guinea and 3 ducks. Not too bad if i say so. I still have 2 Africans to hatch for him and they are bouncing around in there shells wanting out.

i had one bad weird thing happen, and i feel terrible about it. I checked and rechecked the dates on the one sebbie egg i had left. The hatch date was may 3 to 5. Well i have not seen any movement in a couple weeks so i assumed dead. So last night i put it in a plastic bag to open it up and see what happened. It was still alive. But its beak was inside its yolk sack. I tried so hard to save it but it was a mess. So i had to cull it. I feel so terrible.sad.png i just wanted to cry, which i did.

Health wise i am a mess. Been to the hospital 2 days in a row. No feeling on the left side of my face going on 3 days now. They are not sure what is wrong. Bells palzey or something like that they think. Not sure how i got it or how long it will stay. I am just a doctor's nightmare.

I will try to get on again later today.

Oh yeah, i have 2 little gooses coming my way next week and i can't waitress. New duck/chicken/goose palace will be done by then......i hope anyway. We have a huge set back which will be fixed tomorrow but then it should be smooth sailing. Still unsure what i want to do with the floor yet , paint it or tile it or vinyl flooring. Ideas???

Went great. We are now NPIP certified...... just waiting for our certificate that will come in the mail in about a week. We had plenty of helpers to make it run smoothly. I will warn you on the black skin chickens it was difficult for him to find the vein so my poor paint silkie hen had to be stuck 4 times before he found the vein. The only other thing was one of my chocolate Ancona hens was a gusher blood almost hit the guy in his face. Yuck Other than that everything else was great. I think it took more time for him to go over all his paperwork with us than the actual testing.
