My two black meat birds are growing up.  My hatchery Swedish and Cayuga.  They are both starting to feather in and I see LOTS of green!

I didn't get any of the tricolor babies today but plan on getting some new pics of them soon.

Love the black and white one. Looks like he's smiling.

I think it's safe to say it will look like this:

Helen: Daria, do you have to look at everything in such a negative light?

is it just the lighting or do they both have 2 different colors on them.

looks like black and lavendar/blue/ whatever shade it is for anconas (cant keep them all straight since every breed seems to have a different name)

Those are my blues.  One is a little darker than the other and they have a hint of rusting like the blues are known to get but they are considered one color.  I am selling the full back lavender in the second pic tomorrow too.  I think that I have decided to keep my blue female, 2 tricolor females, and my lavender male for my breeding flock.  The rest may go in the freezer.  Not 100% yet.  Poor babies.

CG It seems like in any business, you get the flakey people that do not put other peoples time and hard work into consideration.  Sorry Hun.

I know.  It is gonna kill me.  They are so gorgeous but, this is exactly why I wanted a dual purpose bird.  Meat and eggs were #1, pets #2.  They just happened to be so **** cute/beautiful at the same time.  I do not have a lot of property like the majority of you.  I live in the city.  I am a small scale urban farmer.  Until I establish my breeding flock it will be hard for me. It has been getting pretty overwhelming with the amount of mess 21 ducks can make in a single back yard.

I wish I had your problem.  Pushing Ancona sales around the city has become pretty difficult.  I need to move to the country.
