so, what doesn everyone have in the bator and under the hens?

I have turkeys and sebbies in the bator, but of the two sebs that spidered, only one is left.

Why don't sheep shrink in the rain?

Why is there brail at drive up ATMs??

Why are their floatation devices instead of parachutes in my airplain seat???

If a tree falls in the woods and my husband doesn't hear it, am I still wrong????

I think Bruce's eggs are going strong but haven't candled yet. Also I now have TWO empty tanks. If you thought you guys were bad with birds you've never seen me at my fish store. 5 of those, 12 of those, I'll take everything in that tank, etc lol.png. But it's closed this week for vacation th.gif

Helen: Daria, do you have to look at everything in such a negative light?

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?

If you buy so many fish, how did you manage two empty tanks???  I know you don't eat them.

Funny: I had a friend that had a huge tank full of guppies, and a zillion babies.  I used to tease him that I was going to cook with them sometime.  (I never did, btw) but once, I made some vanilla ice cream, and I put in grape nuts (for brown bread icecream) but told him, after he'd eaton it, that I'd ran some baby guppies through the blender and made him guppy ice cream.  (the brown bread ice cream totally has the right look).  I dont think he ate ice cream for the two monthes it took me to quite laughing at his response, and tell him the truth.  I've seriously got tears rolling down my eyes just remembering.    Lets just say it was only funny for me.

They totally do that.  They are sweet and sensitive, and then the early stages of puberty set it, and suddenly you have sullen teenagers.  Hmm....  Seriously,  you can't keep large birds without expecting a bit more wild to come out.  Peacocks and turkeys, don't trust either.  (I think you can maybe add guinea fowl to this list)  Our one turkey is sweet, but she's stuck with chickens, and what is there to do but be sweet?  I lock down several bourben reds on tuesday.

I'm not surprised.  They are also very intelligent and curious birds.

Its hard to eat buddies, so name them sunday supper, and be sweet anyway.  I'd rather love mine up until they day they are taken for a meal, that feel like they had a crappy life and then got murdered.  I just love them anyway, and make it extremely quick and as painless as possible.  You'll never look back an regret a kindness, after all.

Indeed. I suppose I could get used to the idea of raising meat birds at home if I had the room for them. I'm at capacity with the layers and breeders. At some point you have to tell yourself to stop otherwise they'd be neglected.

A lot of our meat animals on the farm are named after food. It works out well in the brain so you don't forget their intended purpose.

Guppy ice cream! I don't know if your prank is more funny or revolting. Nah... funny. lau.gif

Thanks GQ and Marty hugs.gif. I had to turn the light off because looking at a empty tank bothers me more.

I think I'll get a school of Pea Puffers to fill the tank:
