Julie, unless blue starts leaking gold or red/orange on its neck and shoulders and or saddle area then its another hen. We have a blue EE roo, was very slow to grow and mature, he is now getting gold hackle and saddle feathers. We also have all blue hens both dark and light in color. Take a sheet of printer paper, hold under some of the hackle and saddle feathers to see if they are round (hen) or pointy (roo). makes it much easier on an EE. Oh and the first one (black with white beard) if its from ours birds it could be an OE (olive egger) chick from an EE hen and one of our sons BCM roos.

I've decided to keep an EE roo and sell off my sizzles. All my banty roos have been pita's, and my large fowl roos have been much more nice, so I'm hoping that will hold true for me with these guys.
