My latest batch is locked down early. Eggs from my own flock are always two days early. I don't get it. Maybe the freshness factor?

I'm waiting on a shipment of pekin eggs. fl.gif

As many birds as have needed the fowl equivalent to wheelchairs this year, somebody ought to go in business.  I suggest you include a removable poop pan too.

Why don't sheep shrink in the rain?

Why is there brail at drive up ATMs??

Why are their floatation devices instead of parachutes in my airplain seat???

If a tree falls in the woods and my husband doesn't hear it, am I still wrong????

Helen: Daria, do you have to look at everything in such a negative light?

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?

You can say that again!

Janet, I've been techno challenged today. I lost my phone shortly after we talked. Did not find it for several hours. Then I sent you an email that came back undelivered. Then I got on the iPad and saw you had messaged me. I wrote this long drawn out message to you about Red then when I tried to send it, it said the network was busy and it couldn't be delivered. The whole thing disappeared. I was so mad. I understand horse emergencies. I'm glad no one was hurt. That would have made more vet bills for you. Red sure shows his Serafix in looks and temperament. He looks great by the way. That Spirit is unstoppable. Her name is the best one you could have ever given her. I am totally captivated by her, her zest for life and her attitude. She is a poster child for perseverance. A true inspiration. Kudos to you and her. Talk to you tomorrow.

Morning all,

Shannon yes the link Kevin posted is the one. I prefer it to the goose section honestly, there so far are no what I term "collectors" who buy any all birds or eggs they can get to plan to breed. Lots of great honest people who understand breeding, genetics, and those birds who are only pet quality.

GQ, sorry the news on the BEI wasn't better. We have a little magpie call duck girl who is special needs. She lives in the Mandy flight pen 24/7 and does excellent, even getting in and out of the pool. She also likes sitting on any eggs laid, even if they were all infertile. lol.png

QJ, congrats on the blue egg, so darn pretty.

Marty where are your pictures?

Sue glad you are both doing well, hope the visitors give you a break.

Dutch... You can have it, the water is too much we have flooding all over the state closing major highways. Our rear pasture is knee deep water in areas now. Debby has moved across the state though, so high winds and scatter showers then we can call this one done.

Yes, they are medium. A little bigger than my SLW.

Marty and Kevin, I hear ya on the special needs kids.  By the way, my hubby built the sling contraption for Spirit yesterday based on the pics the avian surgeon gave me.  It was surprisingly easy and only $20 in materials at Home Depot.  We have not tested it out yet, as Spirit rebounded from her latest casting procedure and is getting up and around fine on her own.  But it is good to have handy, if needed in the future.

Marty fl.gif  that Lucky gets a mate!  Will be waiting for updates on hatching....pop.gif caf.gif

GQ, good luck with more shipped eggs!!  Hope life is treating you dandy these days!

Sue & Jerry frow.gif  Did I read an earlier post correctly... you have more young kids visiting??  You need a vacation!!

Shannon, hate those techno challenging days! lol  Yep, Red is the spitting image of Serafix and a true gem.  We both scored the big win when we found each other!  And thanks for the compliment.  I am so pleased with his flesh.  I think he looks like he is in his mid teens, not mid 20s. big_smile.png   Thanks for all of your support for Spirit's fight for the right to have a normal life. It means so much to me that I can call you to share the good and bad as Spirit and I continue on this journey. hugs.gif
