Someone was giving away free tile on Craigslist. I was the first person to contact him, so I picked it up. It's enough for me to re-do my kitchen floor!! ya.gif

I also found a small dog cage on Craigslist for $10.00. You can never have enough cages.

We have found so many bargain items from Good Will Stores.  The item which stands out the most was a large Igloo dog house which retails for about $150.00. We paid $7.00!

Editing: to add the brand new still in box DuraHeat 23,000 btu Portable Kerosene heater which retails for $140.00. We paid $8.00!

I'm more of a window shopper. People always give me stuff, and I really do NOT want stuff. I'm pretty sure I was meant to be a traveling monk with only a bowl and a shirt to my name. In the middle of trying to sell and give away all material possessions (again, most of them not of my doing), so hopefully someone will come and dive in my dumpster.

My favorite hobby-- Junkin

I recently got an antique munson deep fryer/ crockpot combo with removable cook pot for $3. I seem to pick up a lot of quality pots and frying pans, roasters antique casseroles and kitchen appliances. Couple of my favorite finds: a very large clear crackle Blenko vase for $7 and my last find and antique american oil lamp complete with brand new nickle plated burner, new wick and Globe for $15. the kicker is this lamp is the exact match to one my mom has that belonged to my late granny.

We struck gold today!  LOL  We think so anyway.  We were in town 'small town USA' to be exact!  There is one store that used to be Wal-Mart.  Well, Wal-Mart rebuilt in another location and became Super Wal-Mart, but that's a different story.  Anyway, the building was left and a different store took it's place.  It's a consignment store. It's HUGE!

We bought this dog crate for $18.00 bucks! It's called the Giant - 49" L x 29" W x 32" H crate.  Sells for about $100.00 - $120.00 on internet sites.

Crates fold in seconds to a flat portable "suitcase style" package

Durable (EXTRA DEEP) plastic pan is included with the crate

Double security locks on large front doors

ALL FOR $18.00

AND!!!

AND!!

THIS!!

THIS WAS FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Smaller crate about 24" L x 16.5" W x 20" H

They will be great for transporting chickens, etc.   Good deal, huh!

Cages1.jpg

It's already serving the purpose it was purchased for. Now just to add some pine shavings!  These young chicks still have a few weeks before going to the outdoor coop!

I found 12 rabbit foot rest pads on Craigslist for only $1.00 each making it a total of $12.00. If I were to have purchased them online, I would have paid about $3.00 each and $15.00 shipping and handling which have been about $50.00 total. The pads were in great condition.

Sitting out by the road I saw two - 3 tiered bird or rabbit cages.  When I went to ask about if they were out for heavy trash she said to come around back.  I came back about 3 hours later and filled a 10' trailer with  multiple single bird cages, some on stands, and several breeder cages for either birds or they can be used for rabbits.  All have a tray underneath to catch droppings.  I'm in the process of cleaning them all now and will take to the Amish auction next week to see what I can get out of them.
