Coop is 8x8
We have 8 nesting boxes
Bedding is a deep layer of mixed straw and pine shavings
Pen is 5-6' high 26x12
We were able to resue material from a three seasons room my parents were removing. Thus the large window, metal roof, and the metal walls and ceiling inside. We also used the styrofoam inulation that was in the ceiling of the room to insulate the ceiling and walls.

go to my page look towards the bottom its nothing much

How do I go to your page? Since they did over the site I haven't been able to find many pages.

What are the dimensions? I'm interested in this type of coop also. Any more pics? Good luck as you continue!

This coop and run came about as a garden project. We have about fifteen 4'x50' garden plots and wanted to have a moveable setup that would allow us to move chicken onto beds that we wanted them to prepare. We live in the city so we are required to keep them contained. It also needed to be movable by one person. What I came up with last year is a 2'x5'x5' modular run and a coop that is 4.5'x5'x5' made out of 2”x4” 12.5 gauge 60” galvinized fencing.

The coop has two communal nest boxes with removable nest pads.

There are three removable perches.

The ends are made of 3/4” pecks tubing with the wire being bent inside of the tubing and then the tubing is filled with expandable foam to add stiffness and keep bugs out. This is covered from spring and to winter row cover cloth. The sides are covered with a tarp that has5"x 2"x4" board stapled on the ends of the tarp and held down with sandbags. For winter there are wire cover 1 1/2” styrofoam cover for the ends and mylar covered bubble wrap for under the tarp. The edge of the tarp over hang the coop ends about 4” on each side so it can be tuck under in under the wire to seal the ends of the unit from wind coming in under the tarp.

The runs are made like the coop except the ends are 2'x5' zip tied to the fencing making the arch. These runs clip together with fabric S clips. Each module has a 14”x5' predator guard on each side and the end runs have 14”x88” predator guard that clips to the ends with S clips. All cut ends that can come in contact with chickens are warped with fabric and Gorilla Glue. This makes a very tough, but not sharp edge.

There's a feeding module with an 8” door on each side and cover to keep moister off the feed.

There's a watering station using a five gallon bucket with chicken nipples and pecks for support.

These runs can be made to any length that is required for one of our garden bed. So far we have survived 70 mph winds here with nothing blowing away. I love having chickens in my backyard.
