Juice cleanse - Page 8

Hubby is doing well, although he now tends to snack in the evenings.  He's into his smaller pants for work now; the usuals won't stay on.  15 pounds since Thanksgiving, and being energetic. Better color in the face.  Has had a few meals and felt terrible after, so it's self limiting.

me?  hide I need to purchase the Christmas chocolate all over again.  What was I thinking?

Yeah I didn't know you could get a juice high from vegetables. lol

Don't mix citrus and carrot... husband got creative and it was terrible! We're both down 15 pounds now.

The cat Bubba Chunk, while not on the juice diet, is also getting thinner on his diet and increased play. He now has the energy to follow me EVERYWHERE... what have I done? He looks a little slimmer but our people scale isn't digital and doesn't read him accurately. At the vet's a week ago he was 14 pounds though.

We love the orange and carrot juice, orange and grapefruit and carrot juice.  But I insist on peeling all citrus, except the Meyers lemons from my potted tree.

Mandelyn, did you juice them with skin on or skin off?

I also toss in a cucumber now and again, also peeled and tipped to keep out the bitter parts.

Skin off, way too much "zest" otherwise!

I tried that juice "cleanse" two or three weeks ago but I didn't have a juicer and I didn't have the $200 to buy the one I wanted, so I started buying Naked juice from Costco. I was fine up until the third day...I was starving!! I caved. I think I'll try again starting next year. But wow, 15 lbs since Thanksgiving is great!! Keep it up!
