Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Oh no I don't, but I've just started giving some to them the past two days trying to get their weight up. Also gave them scrambled egg today. Do you think I should just keep at it, or switch the food to the finisher and not worry about giving them too much extra stuff like meat etc?

I think either would be fine. I would keep doing what you are doing rather than go out and buy a new food. Up to you though, If you are in need of a new bag of food you could try fancy's idea if not keep up with what you are doing.

Thanks Satay, I think I'm going to do that as I've already bought heaps of stuff like mince etc to feed them (for now).

I picked them up last night to give them their last cocci meds and they still felt very thin - not sure if even thinner than the day before or I'm just imagining it - but their crops were full. I kept checking on them last night as I was worried, and was so relieved when I still saw them out this morning.

Put the Big L in their water today hope they will all drink it.

@my2wings did you put a wanted to buy add on a chicken group on fb?
If you did, you may want to check the replies as I think someone has some SS that you were after.

I use garlic water in the water everyday. For me since I have used it I have never had a lice problem. Whether that is good luck or not I don't know. I boil up a whole bulb of garlic in a saucepan of water for 30 minutes. Then I use a cap of the watery garlic solution in their drinking water whenever I change it. I use 5 litre waters and just add a cap to each one as I change the water.

Thanks for the feedback K Spot and Fancy. I think I might give your lice prevention method a go Satay. I'm hoping I won't have to deal with that problem because their run is enclosed & they can't free range because of the dog next door, but it can't hurt to take extra precautions.

Lol, if you have sparrows and other birds visit your pens , chances are you may have to treat for lice.

Not a fun morning for me. Went to docs appointment with Hubby came home to find two of my beautiful pekins killed ( 1 killed 1 missing) and my new Belgium rooster also dead....:hit
