So, Cilla was pecking at the oyster shell last night Good news in that she might be returning to laying soon, bad news that in only 10-16 eggs we get to go through it all again
KiKi is still broody, mainly because the weather is not allowing me to put her in the broody breaker but I am locking her out of the nest box as much as possible. She is actually a sweet little broody and does not make life miserable for her flock mates, just wanders around chattering a lot when she cannot get to the nest. Besides the ninja chicken routine on the dustpan and brush in the mornings, she is easily managed. For this reason, no nickname for broody KiKi, I didn’t really like Countess KiKula but is was all I could come up with on short notice
