Good morning folks
While not good for those also feeling the heat/humidity; it is good to know that I am not just getting old and cranky
Yesterday I made the decision that I was not going to let it beat me .. I had a great day outside; pottered, swept, killed a few weeds in the paths, cleaned the coop, ‘played’ with the girls etc. While the front lawn does need a mow; I wasn’t going there; I have read the stats about the number of people dropping like a brick while mowing the lawn Because we do not have air conditioning, it was actually nicer outside than in; much better than having to work sitting in front of two giant screens in a corner. I made sure I drank lots of water and took frequent breaks.
While I do not think we got a storm last night [unless I slept through it], we apparently did get some overnight rain as everything was wet when I woke up this morning .. my first thought “Great, just what we need, more fuel on the humidity fire”!
Hey LuckysMum that is a varied mix of ages you have there; lots going on at your place! Good luck with the integration.
Aaaaw MyHaven congratulations .. what a little cutie! Fingers crossed (s)he has company soon.
Woot Woot Fizzybelle and well done Agnes!
Blondie thanks you for the Hatchday wishes .. she had a pretty good day; even scored herself a freshly dead stick insect. I am not sure if she killed it or just found it but she ate it and I didn’t even have to wrap it! lol
So, Dusty was 'helping' me sweep the deck yesterday and my sweeping revealed a small, white, soft plastic cap just a little bit bigger than a corn kernel. Not sure what it was off, may be the end of a tube or something. Anyways, without even a test peck, Dusty ate it!
I just stood there in shock! I had no idea she was going to do that! I think it is small enough that it should just pass through and she looks happy and healthy this morning but I am keeping a close eye on her … crazy chicken!
