That's true satay .... buttermilk is readily available at bigger supermarkets here - less than a 5 minute drive.
Yoghurt is used in so many recipes I have noticed on cooking shows. I use it for the girls, for my dog occasionally, and we eat the rest - with raspberries or such like.. ( notice the pecking order there - them, her - then us !! )
A link here for the benefits of yoghurt ( not a forum - a medical site ) .... http://www.webmd.com/diet/benefits-of-yogurt?page=1
So I figure, if hens can eat most of what we eat ( in the form of scraps or made up goodies ) ... then yoghurt cannot possibly hurt them, and would most likely do them a lot of good. A weekly treat perhaps ?
Said I wouldn't be googling again, but I have - and found this .... : http://readynutrition.com/resources/10-foods-you-should-not-feed-your-chickens_09022014/
I think we all know however, the list that is shown on this site. I did not know it when starting with chickens .... so I am glad I learned this, early on.
