just found out this afternoon that they will no longer supply penfield feed to their customers---going up by $3.00 a bag---well guess i will be going back to blueseal--there was nothing wrong with it in the first place..{ blueseal } , i was just told by another chicken person that penfield was better and so i switched --but what do i know , i've only had chickens for 2 yrs

Register with purina and they will send you a $3 coupon to print out.

Agway is the cheapest at $13.99 here. Blueseal and Purina are the most expensive.

I have friends who are getting rid of their birds due to the high feed prices. One had over 100 birds.

I had to call Nutrena and get Country Max to order feed for me.

I hear it's due to corn going for Ethanol, and suspect the government has stuck it's oar in making it better to sell for gasoline than feed.

Or perhaps it's the commercial poultry industry trying to force us to sell our birds and buy their poison eggs and meat.

Kinda like the government and the digital crap trying to force us to buy cable. I just spend more time annoying you people.

I've been purchasing feed from a local feed mill in Bucks County PA, 50lb bag of layer pelltets for $15.90. 50lbs of scratch is selling for $14.50, and 10lb bags of oyster shell is $4.95.
