Hi, I just joined and looking forward to hearing from you. I just ordered a Chicken Coop from Solway Feeders, it will house 4 hens. Doing a lot of studing to make the hens I buy have a good home, and of course give me a few eggs when they feel like it. I'm looking for a breed and here in Israel the only place I know of to find Chickens who still know they are chickens is with some of my Palestinian friends who still have yard chickens. Any advice would be appreciated.

After having owned five different chicken breeds (1 individual of each), I have to say that my favorite so far has been my Barred Rock. She is sweet, docile, will fall asleep in my arms, and...

Hi and welcome to BYC from michigan
I would love to know what breeds of chickens are raised in israel
Home of the world's cutest dachshund, one crazy blue heeler, two cats,
one fat pony, and many (but not too many!) chickens
Can anyone tell me, how many are too many chickens?
