but drum I do pretty well, and zills, well, I'm really really good at. big_smile
not a lot of *call* for zill players, but hey, we have the talents we have. wink

frow  I play the djembe too!  And also frame drum -  I love it.   Now I have to look up zills  aha!  They look like fun, do you bellydance??

yep I do... taught for over 35 years too.
... so are you saying the zills were a give-away?  wink

I find the djembe a bit challenging because in a lot of the african rhythms you're using several drummers each playing a part of the rhythm to make up the whole pattern... splitting a rhythm up into shares like that takes some concentration, I'm used to playing the whole rhythm myself.

String bass, guitar, mandolin and ukulele.

Regard it as just as desirable to build a chicken house as to build a cathedral.

oh, when you decide to buy some, let me know first and I'll point you to the best kind for playing... there's some really difficult ones out there and you have to know what to look for.

I play anything with a reed including harmonica, some drums, and I have a violin I either need to learn to play or sell.

I play acoustic guitar -- mostly self-taught. My favorite style is fingerstyle. smile I can play a little piano and recorder (soprano and alto) as well. My sister has been playing piano for about 15 years now.
