Rafeiro do Alentejo/Alentejo Mastiff...w/ short hair?

I have five hens and two pullets- one seven year old red star, Luna, one white leghorn, Sage, one SLW, Pepper, one adorable fluffy EE, Bedazzle, and one black star, Buckbeak. My two pullets are Nutella, my wheaten marans, thirty five weeks, (who is yet to lay an egg!), and her best friend, Sammy, seventeen weeks.

Well....... I'm back and alive ladies!! I made it to Lake Ontario on my bike, a total of 179 miles.

The week was AMAZING.
Completely amazing.
I'm definitely going back next year.
It’s kind of hard to put all the stuff that happened in just one post…… But in short it was quite possibly the best week of my life so far and while I’m glad to be home and all that, I can hardly wait for next year to be back with everyone. We have so many wonderful memories, from singing songs about our butts being sore to gazing at the countless stars and the Milky Way to going out for ice cream with one of the mechanics. We played a few pranks, we got in trouble, we danced in the rain, we sang in the dark, we got sand in our sleeping bags. We got drenched in a thunderstorm and some tents flooded. We sweated and stank all together and toiled our way up those inclines (NO HILLS!), then coasted gleefully down the declines (no hills = no down hills). We got sunburns and had aloe trains. We had a polar swim at 7 AM when the beach was closed and we had some pretty intense volleyball games. (Well, not me. I just watched. hehe) We shared troubles and concerns, we shared life changing experiences, and we had some deep spiritual talks. And I don’t think that’s all there is to say but for now that’s good.

And on top of all that, I saw a Basenji, a Yorkie (she was completely blind and her owners wheeled her around in a pink stroller and wore matching pink shirts themselves -- it was so cute!) and a Husky. There was another dog but I don't remember what it was...

Now if you'll excuse me... I've been functioning on adrenaline all week and have suddenly realized that I'm pretty much half dead. tongue.png

Helen: Daria, do you have to look at everything in such a negative light?

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?
