Specklehead in your face! They are hanging out by the coop.

As soon as I get close enough to the coop, Specklehead gives me her famous hairy eyeball

I looked at all the caged animals in the barn...the cast-offs of human society. I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness, and betrayal. And I was angry."God," I said, "this is terrible! Why don't you do something?"God was silent for a moment, and then He spoke softly, "I have done something," he replied.  "I created you."

Is there something wrong with the third girls beak??

Mama to 98 chickens And I have 2 broody hens. One is setting on 2 eggs, the other is setting on 5.  I lost my favorite chicken Nov. 25th 2012 to my cat Demi. She was a mix breed bantam. I also lost five White Silkies to a raccoon. two cats (Demi and Lulu), one Angus bull calf, (T-Bone), sister to seven siblings, and incredible daughter to one Grateful Daddy and Mommy.

Yea, that was my MayMay (rip sweety. I miss you everyday).  She was a rescue from the Buffalo SPCA. It seems like she was debeaked incorrectly or born that way. there was no upper part to her beak. Full bottom, no top. She did really really well with it though. I kept the bottom trimmed from time to time, but she ate fine, drank fine, etc. I helped her with some special treats and so on at times.

What a good girl she was.
