Look at this craigslist ad

I was looking for chicken hatching eggs on craigslist and came across this ad and thought I would just share it with yall because to me it is kind of funny. I cant believe this person would actually try to tell some one they can SELECT eggs that will either hatch as male or female.

Owner of 26 brown egg layers, 9 EE pullets, 4 Cuckoo Marans pullets, quad of BCM's, OEGB's, 2 geese, pair of Muscovy ducks, a rabbit, pair of cochins, a pygmy goat, a pair of silkies, a trio of japanese bantams, 3 guineas, and an emu named Big Bird. Thats why I'm chickenpoor lol.

yuckyuck:idunno I'm glad that they are someones so good that they can tell the sex while they are still in the shell.I can believe that someone would try something like that.That was a good laugh.Thank you fo sharing that.

Can tell whether an egg has a boy or a girl in it!!!!!!!!!! WHAT?????????????

So, they are doing amniocenteses on the albumin of each egg to determine what sex chromosomes are present? roll

My backyard flock: four Araucana girls, two Araucana boys, two BCM girls, and one australorp girl.

I have heard this before..... A very rounded egg will be famale and a very pointed egg wil lbe male. Has No one else heard this???  I believe I saw this in an old Mother Earth News Article.

Where is  "My Page" now   ???

Are you for real.I've never heard of that,But I'd say that it's possible.My wife and her sisters can tell what sex a child is going to be before it is born by bthe way that a woman carries it and most of the time they are right.thumbsup:weee

I'm not saying it's impossible.
It's just about 99.9999999999% impossible. I even have trouble telling a Jaerhon egg from an Ancona, Minorca or Leghorn.
If I could tell the sex of an egg I could make a lot more money.
Sell boy eggs for food.
Sell girl eggs for hatching.
Why hasn't anyone thought of this before?

Ya know i tried this and out of 275 chicks hatched 200 were roosters so my dogs at good for a while.

I am a chicken fanatic!

    I love them all!

Along  with any animal!

 

I currently have 12 chickens (These numbers change frequently). 5 large Fowl Laying hens, 2 OEGB bantams 2 Silkies, 1 Blue wyandotte hen (4 months) 1 SLW (4 months) and lots of chicks! 

 

I also 1 Italian Greyhound and 1 English Bulldog and 1 Golden retriever who will always live in my heart.  RIP Annie

I wish we could tell the sex of chickens before they hatch, it should would make things easier. tongue

Three dogs, bobtailed cat- Nala, a crazy kitten-Gizmo, two goats, two 1 y/o RIR hens, 16 black and red sexlink hens, one mille fleur D'Uccle pullet, three OEGB cockerals, and our new addition, a barred rock mixed roo, 11 eggs in the incubator! Have a AQHA 5 year old horse named Dan, and a teddy bear hamster (I think thats all)
