I have a quad of BCM's and I have been trying to focus on breeding them to lay the darkest possible eggs and to have the correct shank feathering and color appearance. Could yall please suggest a book that describes how to breed for certain characteristics (egg color, feather coloring, etc.) that would be easy for me to understand as I dont understand much about genetics anyways. I would also appreciate it if anyone wanted to post in this thread and describe how I would go about breeding them for the characteristics Im looking for. I will take all the help I can get because like I said I dont know much about genetics but I really would like to start breeding my Marans so that they will have the best characteristics.
