I think it's going to depend on the particular brand. I personally still won't feed medicated feed but everyone has their own choice.

Helen: Daria, do you have to look at everything in such a negative light?

Daria: Could you possibly be referring to the harsh light of reality?

I have always used the same, medicated chick starter with my ducklings as I've  used with the chicks.  I just added powdered Brewer's yeast to it,  to give them the increased niacin they may need.

I've always fed medicated feed to ducklings and never had a problem.

Yep, only medicated Chick Starter. I've raised over 50 ducklings over the past 2 years and have had no problems at all.

Chickens - (Naked Necks, Easter Eggers, Ameraucanas, D'uccles, and others.)
Call Ducks - (Blue Bibbeds, Greys, Chocolates, Whites, Silvers, and Butterscotches.)

Guineas - (Pearl Greys and Royal Purples.)

Modern medicated chick starter has medication to protect from coccidia, it's safe for ducklings. They used to medicate with something else that wasn't safe. Personally I prefer to avoid any medication except as needed, healthier overall.
