So yesterday was the 18th day of incubation of my 12 bantam eggs. Well I took them out of the turner and laid them on the bottom of my still air incubator. Well apparently something must have happend with my tempature while i was doing that. I checked my temp a little bit ago and it was at about 95 degrees, I have no idea how long its been that low.. Did I just kill all my babies?

Thank you! Im really freaking out right now! Im praying my babies will be okay! This is only my second or third time ever hatching and it always makes me so nervous!

OH MY GOSH! I was just sitting quietly in my room and I heard a very loud peep first one I have heard in this hatch! I think we may still have the babies!!!!!!

Yeah, those little chirpers are a little hardier than one would think while in those eggs. The drop in temp may actually work as a wake up alarm for them since they may be wanting to get out and find a warm spot to rest up. Good luck with the

I wouldn't worry too much, all 12 of our eggs got knocked out of the nest into the 30 degree coop for several hours and were stone cold when I found them and the first two hatched, and the other 10 are still progressing in their eggs due to hatch on the 8th.

Yay for peeping!! Good luck!!

I would not worry about the temp too much since they are so far along in incubation... Just get the temp back up and be careful not to raise it too high... I have accidentally hit the temp control without realizing it too... Since it has been since yesterday, they may hatch a day or even two days late but give them a chance.. Lower temps will cause them to develop a bit slower but again, this late in the game, they are just finishing growing/gaining weight and getting ready to absorb the yolk... The effects of low temps are worse (but still not detrimental) earlier in incubation... Get the temp back up, breathe and walk away from the bator!!!

Happened to me a couple of hatches ago. Motor on turner produces some heat. Hope they're ok.
