Ivermectin will kill mites.

Ivermectin will not worm chickens. Chicken worms have become immune to Ivermectin.

Right my chickens have mites that I need to kill not worms. I was just asking how long I had to wait before I could eat their eggs again with ivermectin. Thanks!

Seven dust is no longer advised for use on chickens.

My sultans were heavily infested with mites when I got them.  I tried 7dust, did not work.  I tried ivermectin spot treatment, did not work, I gave them some ivermectin horse paste..It got rid of worms I had no idea they had.

Eventually I did more research and found a dog spot on med (fipronil) which I took a chance and used.  It eradicated the mites completely.  I did not have to reapply again.  Some discussion said it might not be totally safe for chickens and could affect fertility.  If it did affect fertility is was before my girls were in good enough condition to even lay.  I get 100% fertile eggs now.  I was never interested in eating their eggs.

Do your research and do not rely totally on what people tell you.  There is enough information on the internet to make informed decisions, if something isn't working, try something else.

As for eating eggs, after any medications it's best to discard the eggs for a while.
