I could not tell if it was dead yet or not but it would have certainly died from infection anyway. Just 28 more days till hatch.

I always wondered which was true.. missing a layer of the shell or a few too many layers..  I think if I ever had a blue egg I would be tempted to blow it out and try carving it.. just to see what all was there.. I would worry way too much if I had a chick in there.. lol

the beak is getting a little better and he had a bloody navel but I put iodine on it and it stopped.

The crazy thing thinks my dog is its momma and my dog is trying to nurse it.

this is what happens to my animals, I have a sheep who thinks it is a dog but the dog thought it was a person so now my sheep is really confused.

she walks on a leash just like a dog with only a collar. she was a bottle baby.

Don't expect your eggs to jump at you :) At first the movement is very suddle and I thought that my eyes where making tricks on me. When you whistle and stare you think you see them move, but they are moving but very little. Some of my eggs started to move at 35 days some at 33 so they might indeed move but you have to pay very close attention.

Just a question to those that have hatched their eggs already:

Have you taped the eggs to prevent spraddle legs?

#1 has just pipped his shell, I never noticed it rolling and didn't have much hope for it but this is only day 50 and there are only 3 eggs left to hatch after #1. and they were on the bottom shelf so they will hatch a little later probably.

#8 is eatting small bits of cut up fruit and vegi's and for now I am calling it mystery magoo because head markings are still unclear (egg goo on head)

That and I always need to catch my eggs at the right time, which never seems to be at the same time of day.  Often it takes quite a bit of whistling to get so much as a faint twitch out of either of them, other times just touching one and it's ready to go bouncing off the walls.  When I first noticed one of my eggs move on day 31 it caught me off guard and I thought I was seeing things too but after watching for a few more seconds and it moved again but just slightly, barely even noticeable.  Wasn't until day 34 that the other one started to move too.
