I'm now up to 6 this morning, looks like 5 Jumbo Brown & 1 A&M so far. Still a few wiggling and a couple of visable pips. Havent opened bator so far & will wait until this afternoon to see how many more hatch before moving some into the brooder. These little guys are so cute love . Hoping the rest hatch fl

Quail chicks are not chicken chicks. If you leave quail chicks in the incubator for 2 days you will certainly have dead chicks. Pretty much all gamebird species chicks need food and water very soon after hatching. They should be removed to the brooder as soon as they are dry.

The most important rule to raising gamebirds of any kind is to check your "chicken wisdom" at the door before entering.

Really? Good to know. He woke me up this morning. Too bad I'm off work until the 9th and it's too cold (33 degrees) to put them outside, he is really LOUD. Insomnia in quail? smilegig

Congrats to the continued quail hatchings. Do I need to mix some other food into the chick starter for them?

Okay thanks for the info, I will get them into the brooder this morning, as most are dry this morning.

I wasn't thinking chickens, I don't raise them.   I just thought they could be in up to 2 days.

11 of the 13 Button Quail have hatched now waiting on the Coturnix to start.  How is everyone else doing?
