Wow!! This colour thing! Does it make sense that it is the 'extremes' that really put the issue into perspective? This morning, I saw a magnificent big bird by the fig tree. Its head and neck, right down to its body, were jet black. Its body was just a touch lighter. It's the second darkest I've seen in four years of watching. [The other was a wild emu seen momentarily from a car. It was black.]
