Fun! I might go just for those! Blue egg or green? How old will they be?

Very nice blue eggs, and the chicks will range from 2 months to 4 months.

Trust slowly, Love without regret, Laugh with total abandon.
Mom to 2 very spoiled dogs, 9 very pretty pasture ornaments (Arabian horses), & more and more chickens.

Oh man! You have started pullets? I will get one from you for sure! The older the better....I will be sure to get there early to make sure I can get one from you! 11 am sharp smile.png I am trying SOOOOO hard to get a blue egg layer, it is ridiculous. AND I am overrun with chicks so an older one would be great because I have very few layers left. Woo hoo now I am very excited smile.png Will you pick out a good one for me tongue.png

Azriel, will you have Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas as well?  I won't be able to make the Chickenstock this  year, but my friend, La Casa de Pollo can pick up a chick (or two?) for me.  big_smile.png

Thanks!!!

Why can't the money be sent as a "gift"?  I would think that's what it technically is because we're not making a purchase of a specific item, we just are getting our name in a drawing for a 'chance' to win something.  Please reply to me privately (as well as via post for other people) because I'm having a hard time getting BYC notifications and the threads I follow are running at warp speed.  ty!

Also, regarding the live chicks/etc that are donated, do you have to be there in person to win those or are they shipped fm origin?  I started reading and wasn't paying attention to the dates and realized this is very very soon!  Sadly, I may only be able to purchase tickets.  :(

Thank you,

j.

"Donations" can always be sent via paypal to shawnt@cableone.net... it's just that Paypal considers purchasing raffle tickets as gambling which is against their policies.  My wife has bought a number of raffle tickets as gifts for byc members though.......

The live chicks donated are going to be given away at the event to 4H kids to raise for the fair...  All the prizes in the raffle go to winners..  I have the incubator, gift certificates and non egg prizes and will ship those as needed.   All the hatching eggs will be shipped directly to the winners by the generous donors so as to maximize hatchability..

The event is Saturday May 5th and everyone is welcome to attend... however, if you can't come, please feel free to purchase raffle tickets as you do not have to be present to win!!!!

BTW Chickielady... your hens have plenty of time to start laying again...  We have 5 weeks left until the Chickenstock and then the winner of your eggs will be in contact and you can arrange a shipping time when it's convenient for both of you..

Did I mention that we only have FIVE WEEKS LEFT until the Chickenstock??

BTW---------Birdguy, my hens are still raising the babies !!!!!!!!!!!!

I still have plenty of Black Java hens laying, but few Buckeye hens, as several went broody & raised younguns'

BUT I can send eggs later on, a month or so ?

Will that work ?

Hey everyone... 1 week from tomorrow morning!!!  I've had a request from someone coming to the Chickenstock that I think is a great suggestion..

If you are coming to the Chickenstock  please post on this thread what you are looking for and what you have to offer.  Especially for those that have a bulky item like an incubator or shipping boxes, it would be nice to know someone was coming for that item rather than haul it on the chance of interest.

Please also post what breeds and ages of poultry you are bringing to sell/trade.   For the one or two people that might have a wish list lau.gif, wouldn't hurt to post that as well... you never know who might decide to bring what you are looking for if they knew there was an interest!!

See you all in a week!!
