Hatching eggs are no longer avaiable from any breeds until further notice due to predator problems and birds being too old .

Thank you guys for posting.
I know It is a white rock, But getting second opinions from people.
I bought this guy at a sale in october. My friend wanted to raise cornish crosses, so I got her this guy.
Well I knew he was young, but it would do well with the hens being only a few months older.
Well a month pass and this kid my age, Who knows FAR more then I do, he bred and showed for a few years, And I respect him and his knowledge but he told my friend that it wasnt a white rock and he should be stockier, and to leggy.
I believe the roo isnt leggy and that he is young and hasnt filled out, that is why he looks thin. but I went over to take a pic, and could tell a BIG difference in him comparison to when I bought him.

Im trying to show my neighbor that there is no need to find another and worry about the roo.

Since he showed he should take note that show quality birds are many times larger than that of non-show lines (as well as differences in leg length). The size isn't that big of a deal currently, as you mentioned he is a young bird and has a lot of filling out to do but still is too stocky for a Leghorn.

He's a handsome looking fellow!  We already have a white rock pullet and I'm considering some dual-purpose for spring.  I'm going to add one of these to my wish list.  smile
