Are geese fox deterents?!

well lucky for me I live right against the freeway. I see dead coyote and fox all the time. that tells me they are trying to make their way to new area. saw a big coyote dead today. it was only about 1/4 mile east of my back fence

I had a problem with foxes taking my chickens daily, even coming into the garden when I was there and taking them!!! then I got two embden geese three wks ago and I haven't seen a fox since!! all my livestock are free range but not a sign of a fox!! but even if a fox could kill geese, the geese would raise an alarm to warn you b4 its too late!! I definitely recommend having geese as fox deterents!! but you must have plenty of grass for them to eat!! :)

Little tip:if your geese are scared of your dogs then they will be scared of the fox if they arent scared they will likely attack the fox same with humans! If they are the boss of you they will not be scared of anything and attack everything

Ive more then 35 geese and they free range in the field with no fencing and they are scared of my dog as in they move out the but only hiss and im boss of them so that means the only things that they are boss of are the chickens and the rooster sometimes

i hope this will help

if there is a fox around the most best alarm is guineafowl they scream alot when they spot a fox and this warns my geese to run home quick and it alarms my dogs which they go insane with barking when they hear the guineas scream "really handy

in 2009 i didnt have any guineafowl and 45 chickens got killed and 12 geese ! And none of my guineas have ever been caught by a fox
