USPS Inefficiency - Page 2

I hear you on the slower deliveries. I have eggs coming in the mail and they left Florida early in the week. It shows they were scanned there but nothing else until this afternoon. They are here in Des Moines - but in a city this size there is no way they would go hunt down a package for me. So now they will sit until Monday...

If it wasn't for the heavy hand of the government the USPS would have been gone a long time ago, what we are seeing is a slow painful death.  Private enterprise will replace all deliveries eventually.

Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton agreed on little publicly, but they did agree that when the public treasury becomes a public trough and the voters recognize that, they will send to government only those who promise them a bigger piece of the pie

chickened, I believe it. The USPS will go the way of the pony express, but it'll not be pleasant as the organization fails totally. I bet that if there wasn't a government imposed monopoly on the USPS being the sole provider of a first class mail service, then the USPS would have died long ago.

I definitely don't think WY is a logical place for mail destined for da UP of Michigan is. Usually mail coming here goes through Oak Creek, WI (right near Milwaukee) before heading north.

Maybe they used a amish buggy to transport mail?

too funny ha! But seriously, the postal service might as well shut down and leave it to private organizations.

Not sure if private organizations would do better. After all, the USPS isn't owned by the government.

It took me a while to figure out why the original post was mentioning it being the holiday season.  I thought I somehow overlooked a holiday this week. lol.png
