I have two Wyandottes - a silver-laced and a gold-laced. They don't seem to be as good layers as my Barred Rock, but I don't keep good statistics. They are never willing to be held and they...

Dark brown eggers???
I have BCMS. Silver Cukoo Marans and Wellsumers. My BCMS lay the darkest eggs, but the SCMS are not far behind. My Wells are not laying yet. The BCMS Rooster was very nice and gentle. Beautiful. I had to re-home him because of crowing issues. At least I got some chicks before he had to go. I do miss him.

Got it Penedesenca. I don't have any or know anything about them though. I want some brown egg layers and I came across these in my search. Hopefully, someone else can tell you something about them. Here is a link that can tell you some about it.

The Crele roos are really pretty.
Good luck
Ahhh, I see you beat me to it. Good job. Do you know anything about this breed? I think I might get some in the future.
There is another kind that I think start with a P. So sorry I can't remember what it is, if I remember I will let you know.
Penesdesencas. Mediterranean breed.
Hope I spelled that right.
