Ahhhh Ive Rescued Some Battery Hens!*pics* - Page 6

Good for you Johnn!

My first hen was an ex-batt (and a lot more "oven ready" looking than your pretty girls lol ) and she was a real character.

There has been a big  campaign to rehouse ex-batts before the new EU laws come into force in January.   I was going to get some, but I must live in the most chicken-friendly County in England because my area has none on offer.

Let us know when you get your first eggs smile

Mark 11:22-23

"Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.

Everyone'll settle down eventually, maybe give them a bit more time separated but 'side by side' if you can.  The second set of photos show they're already more relaxed and looking more like chickens and less like battery hens.  Nicely done, Johnn!
Merry Christmas to you and your family -

Amy
