weird looking Egg??

I have had my new 15 hens laying since like October, and well the others are over a year old with a few that are over 4. But here lately I am getting 1 light brown egg with bumps or as my daughter calls them warts. Sometimes there are just a few bumps and sometimes they are all over the egg. It looks like extra calcium deposits but IDK. Would anyone know what it is.   frow

It could be any number of factors.

I have Marans that lay with dark brown "warts" all over... in that instance it's just extra pigment being laid down as it passes through the ovaduct.

Excess calcium can also be a culprit.

Keeper of 18 hens,  3 PW Leghorns, 1 leghorn mix, 1 FBCMarans, 1 Australorp, 2 Olive Eggers , 1 EE, a Barred Rock, a RIR, a CQ, 1 Delaware,, a Splash Ameraucana,  3 polish, a Welsummer and 25 juvies of various breeds(6 Heritage Delawares, 1 SLW, 1Blue NN, 5 FBCMs, 2 Ameraucanas, 2 Olive Eggers, and 8 Alohas.) YIKES!  Time to SELL some chickens!
