It led her down the canyon, to a large rocky area with only a small patch of grass near the edge. Rock columns led up to the "ceiling" though around the sides it was open. "Stand on that patch of grass, I'll be back shortly."

(No LOL I think the Smokewolf would be able to tell the difference between Kate and some other fox)

 

Jingo wasn't sure she trusted him, but padded to stand on the grass. Her ears were pricked and alert, ready for anything.

The smokewolf flew back up the tower where the "Devourer" was, watching as 2 bats inserted a tube into Kate's leg.

Kate snarled at them, thrashing viciously in their grasp. She slashed her claws at the bats, beheading them in a single swipe and jerking the tubes from her leg,

Gabby threw herself onto her body, nearly crushing her with her weight as she held onto Kate's neck, threatening to choke her. A second gryphon inserted the tube while a third held her limbs.
