The smokewolf and its soldiers came barreling down the canyon, following Candy and Malik. "Get her!" The smokewolf screamed as the creature disappeared into a crack in the canyon.

Jaclyn, Jerome, Samantha, and Malik checked the oasis, where they saw a particular tri collie standing over the small, frozen pond. They crept up behind her, their reflections revealing their presence to the collie. The collie's eyes briefly widened before a frown and narrowed eyes replaced it. She unsheathed her claws, preparing herself for a fight.

Jaclyn rushed at her, the collie throwing an icy mist at her face. Nelek barreled into the collie's side, throwing her onto the rock. He repeatedly rammed into her ribs, cracking noises announcing that he was breaking them.
