not to mention they look like new pens every year!
I have to let mine air out a couple days though the mix of ink and plastic burns my nose. Keep them away from the birds for a while I could just imagine it baking in the sun fresh out the bag

thats the sweet smell of Chinese pesticides. I got one of those duck hunting marsh seats that still smells like that and I've had it for years. My wife uses that one when she hunts with me lol

lol king cocker you got one coming your way just as soon as i can tell witch is witch wont do any good now thay all stopped laying this is a pic of the rooster I'm going to be breeding back to i was at the breeders house today and picked up his daughter he is not much to look at but he is a true above average bird.....
As you breed back to him, will you be attempting to drag any particular characteristics from the pullet's side? If not then I suggest you get a good look at the female versions of that cock and choose offspring produced in the line breeding process that more closely resemble the cock. Produce many pullets by multiple hens each generation for scrutenizing. If a hen gave poor hatch or chicks on aveage not so good, then keep no pullets from her even if one is the best you have. Better pullets need to come from broods with better brothers and sisters. I state again, select multiple pullets each generation and if possible from more than one good hen. You also need to be thinking about how you will be caring for that cock for the next four years or more. I presume he is not already 8 years or so. Cocks I line breed back to get some training so I can move them between breeding pens without even touching the cock. Each hen to be used gets her own quality breeding pen. Since these guys are games I let the hens incubate and brood their own eggs as hen quality is important there as well. Do you keep a ledger for breeding records?

hello centrarchid this cock pictured is 5 years old and is not mine but is a good friend of mine and i have access to him when needed as of yesterday i went and picked up another of his daughters from a different breeding than the muff hen pictured this rooster is a prover producer in the brood pen with many sons of a high caliber as far as wanting any of the hens characteristics I'm not to sure about the hens side so i would just like to set my line leaning to the rooster side of things so next year i will single mate the rooster to 2 of his daughters will that be enough or should i try to get one more daughter i could also get a son or have access to one if needed and ill go from there..... oh i missed your question yes i keep records single mate toe punch and then tag all recorded in a book...

So my uncle sent some birds from Cuba and I am to get a stag and my cousin just sent me this pic. Does anyone think this color feather is real or he just learned some good photoshop to pull my leg?

*** has to be fake, but that is him holding the bird and his skin tone is true so I'm not sure.
