Don't give up on the treats yet.  Mine love them now.  I've been surprised at some of the things they haven't been interested in.

I wonder if their palates will become more developed as they get older? The Biddies are almost 4 months old, now, and have turned up their beaks at all kitchen scraps except watermelon. However, they prefer that fresh and not left over. Totally ignored the cabbage ball I saw suggested on this site. On the other hand, they would kill a junkyard dog for $dried mealworms$. What next, filet mignon?

Be grateful yours have inexpensive taste buds. <sigh>

Owned by 2 grown offspring, 2 spoiled cats (Albert and Stanley), and 7 (correction: 10; chicken math, ya know) silly biddies: Blanche, Clara Cluck, Dorothy, Olivia, Miss Prissy, Agnes, Edwina, Eunice, Ruby and Bernice, who fill my basket with gorgeous multicolored eggs.

No it's not spinach.  Wherever sunlight manages to shine thru the woods, this weed grows in clumps.  And no it's not the other type of "weed" either!

It took a while for ours to try new treats. Now they enjoy them. The were playing keep away with cherry tomatoes earlier. They love mealworms. My wife calls it "Chicken Crack".

Got a bunch of sand left over from the run plus I received a gift card for Father's day.

So I hauled more sand and bought patio blocks from the local lumber yard.

This area is usually muddy in the Spring and late fall and a sidewalk would be nice.  Now I need to haul in some topsoil to cover the sand  sad.png

Nice paving stones.  I plan to do something like that around my run when it's finished with bricks we have on hand.
