I am thinking about trying to raise turkeys.   I am doing my research now.   Does anyone have a suggestion of a good book?

You will learn more here and with your own experence than any book.  Turkeys and not hard.  Learn the basics and get some and you will figure it out.  Keep poults warm, dry, clean, good feed and water.  28-30% turkey or gamebird starter for first 12 weeks then a good 20% feed for life.  Don't overcrowd them if there in a pen.  An adult trio will need a 10X10 minimum size pen.

Black Copper Marans, BLRW, SLW, GLW, B,B,S Ameracaunas, EE chickens, Guineas(Pearl, Royal Purple & Lavender), Royal Palms,Standard Bronze, Sweetgrass, Narragansett, Golden Narragansett, Bourbon Red turkeys,  Red Golden, Yellow Golden, Ringneck Pheasants, A&M quail, Black Shoulder, Bronze, White, Pied & IB Peafowl!

I am very new to turkeys and hesitate to offer any advice, but I use "Storey's Guide to Raising Turkeys". I found it on Amazon and use it often as a reference. Great book! smile

1 DH of 28 years, 2 DS(1 US army active duty - proud moma), 1 DD, 1 beautiful grandaughter and one in the oven, 14 EE, 1 SH, 6 cinnamon queens, various meaties, my turkeys are 4 BR, 3 MW, also 1 doberman, and 1 very spoiled rotten cat.
